Things to Do in Kansas: Quirky Roadside Attractions

Kansas brings the quirky—giant twine balls, massive hairballs, and a town literally called Gas with a gas can water tower. Some of these we’ve visited, others are still on our list. World’s Largest Hairball – Located at Finney County Historical Museum, 403 South 4th Street.

Gas

World’s Largest “Gas Kan” Water Tower – Gas can-shaped water tower in the town of Gas.

Goodland

World’s Largest Easel – 80-foot steel easel displaying a Van Gogh reproduction.

Greensburg

World’s Largest Hand Dug Well – 109 feet deep, 32 feet in diameter.

Lucas

World’s Largest Collection of World’s Small Versions of the World’s Largest Things – Meta roadside attraction featuring miniatures of famous giant objects.
