The World’s Second Largest Rocking Chair, The Route 66 Red Rocker
Located at the Fanning 66 Oupost – 5957 State Hwy ZZ, Cuba, MO
Zach and I made a stop at a charming roadside attraction – a gigantic rocking chair that proudly holds the title of the World’s Second Largest Rocking Chair. We decided to bring along our littlest kitty, Heddy, in her backpack for a quick photo op. 😸Although she may appear frightened, that’s just her typical expression!
Interesting facts about The Route 66 Red Rocker
Has a length of 18 feet, a height of 12 feet, and a depth of 7 feet
It weighs 86,000 pounds!
It was originally constructed in the 1940’s! It underwent refurbishing in 1964 and again in 1993! In 1993, steel bars were mounted in its base, as well as fiberglass reinforcements in it’s legs for safety reasons.
