We’re hunting down weird town names across America—places that sound like punchlines: Booger Hollow, Intercourse, Why, Ding Dong. And while we’re there, we’re finding out what the locals are proud to eat for dessert.
Because if you’re going to visit a town called Monkey’s Eyebrow, you might as well stay for pie.
We want to know what the locals actually love—the pie that’s been on the diner menu since 1952, the gas station brownie that’s somehow incredible, the little place everyone goes for special occasions. The stuff that matters to the people who live there.
Every weird town has a story. And most of them have sugar.

Here are a few of the oddly named places we’re tracking down:
– Pie Town, NM — It’s in the name. We’re going.
– Ding Dong, TX — Sounds like a baked good. Probably tastes like one too.
– Intercourse, PA — You knew this was coming.
– Sweet Lips, TN — The town name writes the headline for us.
– Yum Yum, TN — If this doesn’t have good dessert, we riot.
