Fun Facts About Wyoming
Wyoming was the first state to grant women the right to vote, in 1869, earning it the nickname “The Equality State.”
Devil’s Tower, on this list, was the filming location for the 1977 movie Close Encounters of the Third Kind, and was also America’s first national monument, designated in 1906.
Yellowstone, partly in Wyoming, was the world’s first national park, established in 1872.
Wyoming is the least populous U.S. state.
