World’s Largest BB Gun: Daisy Airgun Museum in Rogers, Arkansas

The Giant Red Ryder That Started It All

We had a VA appointment in Fayetteville, and since we were already up that way, we drove a little further north to Rogers. We were actually in town to check out Flashback Pizza (bucket list item #1 – full post coming soon!), but while we were exploring downtown Rogers, we checked out something that has been on our radar for a while now – The World’s Largest BB Gun! We’d been through Rogers before and somehow missed it, so this time we weren’t leaving without seeing it. What we didn’t realize until we started digging into the location? The giant Red Ryder isn’t just a photo op—it’s attached to the Daisy Airgun Museum. Bonus stop achieved.

The World’s Largest BB Gun

Before you even walk inside, you’re greeted by a towering Red Ryder BB gun standing outside the building. It’s impossible to miss and absolutely demands a photo. We both grabbed our shots with it because when you’re standing next to the world’s largest anything, you document it.

Admission is $2, which technically includes these little audio wands you can carry around. Each display case has a number, you push the corresponding button, and it’s supposed to tell you about what you’re looking at. We tried six different wands, and the volume was so low we couldn’t hear a thing. We gave up and just wandered on our own—but we still paid the $2 at the end, so honestly, we think that’s just the admission price. And for what you get to see? Completely fair.

The museum is packed with over 500 BB gun models spanning decades. Every single display case features a different model, and if you’re into firearms history or just love seeing how design evolved over time, this place delivers. There’s an overwhelming amount of information on the walls—enough that Zach spent a solid 30 minutes reading every placard. If you’re a skim-the-highlights person, you can get through in 15-20 minutes. If you’re a read-every-word person, plan for closer to an hour.

Standout Displays

Our favorite oddity? The animal vaccination gun prototype. Daisy developed a BB gun designed to vaccinate cattle by shooting a biodegradable capsule into their muscle. It was never FDA approved (shocking, we know), so it never made it to mass production. But seeing the prototype and reading about the concept was genuinely fascinating.

The museum also leans into its *A Christmas Story* fame—there’s a section dedicated to the “You’ll shoot your eye out!” legacy, complete with leg lamp keychains and Red Ryder nostalgia in the gift shop. It’s tastefully done, though. This is still very much the Daisy Airgun Museum first, Christmas Story merchandise second.

The Daisy Dollar Bonus

At the end of our visit, they handed us Daisy Dollars—commemorative coins they used to give out at factory tours. Ours is the 250 Years of Freedom coin (1776-2026), and we were apparently among the first to get them this year. Small touch, but a fun keepsake.
